Long time no muzyk bitchez, eh? There's a reason for that too although, probably due to all the Beers and Daiquiris, I can't seem to remember what it is. Anywho. As Jeremy Clarkson has taught me to, I went on the internet the other day. And found this. And then, excited about the immense window of opportunities opening up right in front of my humble self, I found this. Bored of all the text and pictures, I went on the other- videoy- part of the internet and found this. And then this. And I thought, Clarkson you bastard, you never told me how difficult it is to find something that's actually cool?
V for Violence - The Cult of V [2009]
what's hit?
On top of all the 4-songs-in-1 mashup with everything found above in the lyrics, the Finns have something that I realize the sorts of Marilyn Manson or Nine Inch Nails have never had. And that the sorts of Faith No More or Korn I wish would have a lot more of. And that the sorts of Tool do indeed have but don't have to go shouting about it. Something that the sorts of The Prodigy, Panacea or Aphex Twin have. And DO go shouting about. Madness is the word. Lunacy. Insanity. Whatever you want to call it, it's precisely the why whould people go about jumping off cliffs, thinking they're birds or laugh hysterically while massacring civilians in video games. It's the single most important thing that I- from a certain point in time- look for in a band. And I don't like it. I absolutely fucking ADORE it.
what's shit?
These guys should probably do something about the way they look. Yeah, like THAT was important.
what's it?
Break both your legs and rub your face against the pavement running to buy this. If you are sick of dodging yet another batch of ultimate MTV crap generally presenting (occasionally alpha) female or male humans discussing the lowest of nature's instincts, the act of mating for the sake of the species' continuity, if you feel hypnotized beyond tiredness by bouncing hooters or wiggling buttocks or if you've finally come to a conclusion that you might as well have some fun while trying to head-butt a rolling train, odds are- and trust me on this- you'll probably want to go buy this again. 'The Cult of V' is a masterpiece I've been waiting for and it will not be left empty-handed after my little of-the-year awards ceremony is over.
SCORE: 10/10
